WE HAVE A NEW BACKER! Thank you for your donation!

“I was in a dark place this morning.”

A loud and hearty THANK YOU to everyone who reached out to Dennis yesterday to encourage him.  THIS is what Hebrews 10:25 is all about. “Encouraging one another in the Faith.”  That “assembling of ourselves together” should never be limited to a church building. It can be a small group over coffee, it can be two friends sitting on a sofa, or it can be a collective group of Believers from all over the country who come together to encourage one as he approaches the halfway point of one of the most challenging moments of his life.

Usually, there is some relief to Dennis’ body pain overnight as he sleeps.  There was no relief in Dennis’ legs. He woke up Tuesday morning still in pain from the day before. His right foot was feeling it pretty hard as well as his shoulders. The weather, on paper, was a beautiful day! 71 degrees! For a runner, it was a hot day. The sun can pull the energy right out of you.

These are the things Dennis is struggling with. Thank you for ALL the prayers! We do not take them for granted. We love and appreciate all of you who have supported this film through prayers and donations.

Now, who wants to hear an awesome story?

Yesterday, three cars, who we assume saw the back of Dennis’ t-shirt, stopped and asked what was going on. One of them was a 70-something year old man who, when he was 70-years-old, ran across America from East to West.  When he turns 80, he plans to run across America from North to South.  What are the odds that this man, this long-distance runner, would be driving past Dennis on his run to Los Angeles?!?  I have no idea what the odds are, but I give God all the credit for that.

(The back of Dennis’ t-shirt with two awesome members of his team)

To that long-distance runner, if you happen to be reading this blog, if you have any advice for Dennis, please reach out.  We would LOVE to hear from you! Thank you for taking the time to stop and talk to the team.

Wednesday is the big day, folks!  On day 9, Dennis crosses into California!  A big and hearty THANK YOU as well to the car that has been following Dennis for the last 8 days.  His mom and step-dad have been there, behind the wheel, every step of the way and we are so thankful for them. I pray that God blesses you both in unusual ways today and throughout the rest of this journey.

“I just want people to be excited about the project and if they want to join the team, here’s how…” ~ Dennis Herzog

Click on “Donate” on the home page of the website and that will take you to the Kickstarter page. To date, we have $5,371 pledged of $30,000. Thank you to our 19 backers! We only have 8 days left to raise the rest of the money. Help us spread the word!  We look forward to bringing PHX2LA to you in August of 2023.
